Burgos is a crossroads: the AP-1 and Miranda lead to Vitoria and, with the AP-68, to Bilbao and Logroño; the A-62 to Palencia and Valladolid; the N-234 to Soria; and Santander via the N-623 or round through Aguilar de Campoo. Many of these capitals have no convenient direct train with Burgos.

Logroño is reached on the N-120, following the Camino de Santiago backwards via Santo Domingo de la Calzada, or by motorway going round through Miranda. It is a trip for errands, wine and family.

Tip: If you are leaving from Miranda de Ebro or Las Merindades, compare flights from Bilbao before booking to Barajas: the airport run can be much shorter.
